Dan is a New Jersey-based handpan artist with a style that is as intensely percussive as it is beautifully melodic. Determined to push the boundaries of music made on the handpan, Dan has made all types of music influenced by hip-hop, EDM, trance, trip-hop and many more. No matter what kind of music you’re into, Dan has something in his musical catalog for you!
On April 6th, Dan is coming to The Natural Approach Center on Staten Island to offer a 90-minute handpan workshop as well as a 45-minute acoustic performance. During the workshop, you’ll be introduced to a number of new playing techniques, grooves and fills to practice at home, as well as the building blocks of composition. All workshops have a built-in Q&A section - so don’t be afraid to ask questions!
Following the workshop, there will be an unplugged performance that is sure to leave the audience feeling inspired to create their own music on the handpan.
Whether you’ve been playing for a few years or if it’s your first time touching an instrument, this workshop is for you! Dan has extensive experience working with ALL levels of handpan players.
