Specializing with drum set & handpan, Jordan Auber utilizes the combo coupled with electronics to create a unique electro-acoustic mix with his project Color of Rhythm. Balancing ethereal melodies with polyrhythmic interplay, Jordan’s compositions are a tasteful blend of his wide range of influences, culturally and musically. They are exciting as well as relaxing, contemporary with an element of mysticism.

Earning his reputation primarily playing drum set, Jordan Auber established himself in the NYC scene. Honing his skills at The Collective School of Music (NYC), Jordan pursued studies in a variety of styles, ultimately focusing on jazz and contemporary music under the tutelage of Ian Froman & Peter Retzlaff, as well as others. Versatility is a key part of his curriculum. Over the course of his 5 years in New York, he has performed in many scenes. Aside from his solo work with organizations such as Daybreaker and Modo Yoga, using handpan for sound-healing, Jordan has played drum kit with multiple groups spanning jazz, rock, hip-hop, R&B, pop, funk, & blues.

In 2017 Jordan launched his project Color of Rhythm. After which, handpan became a large part of his compositional style. The project now functions majoritively as a trio comprised of handpan, drum set, and electric bass.
