Super Bloom Women’s Handpan Gathering is an intimate micro-event set in the Catskills Mountains near Hancock, New York. Here, we commune + unite women through a shared vision to learn, grow and expand further with the handpan as our guide.

Peace Temple is an off grid spiritual retreat center in the beautiful Catskill Mountains, devoted to creating and holding peaceful and inspiring community events, where creativity, spiritual growth, sustainability, respect for nature, and respect for each other are practiced.

Join me, August 7th at 2pm in Downtown Brooklyn for a live Songwriting Class! and Handpan/ Rav Vast performance with Aaron Russel on mandolin.

Hello Friends,
After nearly a year and a half, I am returning to NYC to perform and teach YOU about the songwriting process on Handpan/ Rav Vast
If you are tired of endless Rhythm and technique practice, unbound from musical context, this class is for you.

We will be working with a system I created that allows you to quickly and easily construct a song and begin building upon that.

Space will likely be limited to 15-20 people, so be in touch to reserve a spot.
Tickets for the Class/ performance will be $45 and can be paid ahead of time via Paypal, or upon entry.

Dear friends,

We am very happy to announce this upcoming Yoga and Handpan retreat June 25-27.

This retreat was one of the favorite events of last Summer and we are brining it back!

A weekend retreat to spend time in nature, re-align and connect, let go and refocus. Move through yoga sequences accompanied by live handpan music and immerse into meditation with Himalayan singing bowls. Learn and/or sharpen your handpan skills in a two-day workshop designed for both beginners and intermediate players and recharge by swimming, sunshine, and healthy delicious food.

Beginner Level Handpan workshop:

This class is designed for those that meeting the handpan for the first time.

Saturday class: We will explore the history of handpan from the beginning to the art it is today. We will also learn how to make clear and clean sound, basic rhythm and groove structure
Sunday's class: Applying chords to compositional structure and playing in a group.

Intermediate level Handpan workshop:

This class is designed for those who have prior experience with the instrument and already familiar with the basics of Handpan playing.

Saturday class: We will explore concept of even intervals, double time count as well as right/left hand independence.
Sunday class: We will apply concept of independence to given composition structure.

Nikolay is an experienced Yoga and meditation Teacher currently working at Hot Spot Yoga and Primary Yoga in New York.

Marina and Felix are self-taught duo founders of Handpan NYC Community - a place where teachers, artists, and enthusiasts can experience a world of handpan events, workshops, and community gatherings since 2016.

Guy is a sound meditation facilitator and sound therapy arts educator. He is passionate about providing the audience with healthy sonic nourishment and meditation through deep listening. The miraculous tones the audience is getting immersed into during his sessions belong to antique masterpieces of Himalayan singing bowls hand-picked by him in Himalayan region. Since 2011 Guy has facilitated hundreds of meditations in yoga studios, martial art schools, rehabilitation centers and nursing homes. He also has experience working with people with special needs, PTSD and AA groups.

Vladimir is the creator of Peace Temple - a spiritual retreat center in the beautiful Catskill Mountains, devoted to creating and holding peaceful and inspiring community events, where creativity, spiritual growth, sustainability, respect for nature, and respect for each other are practiced. There is as workshop at 1pm and 4pm, and at 6pm there will be dinner and a beautiful music concert, ending with a jam session I’m going to drop the flyer and website link under this message. Pantam Collective Presents: Global Pan-demic Relief 24 hours Virtual Handpan Festival.

The Pantam Collective is pleased to invite you to “Global Pan-demic Relief - 24hr Virtual Handpan Festival”, created in response to the global health, economic and social crisis caused by Covid 19 . The festival will feature 24 of the top handpan players, musicians, artists and builders from around the world, all who have been impacted from cancelled tours, festivals, gatherings, concerts, and classes. This 24-hour virtual event is our way of coming closer as a community in a time of self-isolation, all while demonstrating the resilience of art in a time of crisis. The genre is rooted in the ever-developing world of the Pan-tam, or handpan, which is a steel instrument developed in 2000 in Switzerland. As the name implies, the instrument is formed by the fusion of the Steel Pan from Trinidad and the Ghatam (a clay pot drum) from South India, creating a uniquely multicultural voice. Artists featured include Laurent Sureau from France, Panersia from Iran, Jonathan Scales from the USA, Swaminathan Selvaganesh from India, Alexander Lora from Brazil, Reo Matsumoto from Japan , and Kiril Osherov from Moscow to name a few. All funds raised will go to supporting our curated list of full-time and touring handpan artists.
